Here's how to get to the cottages:Take Exit 85 (OLD Exit 11) on Route 6...

Note: Some online mapping services will route you via Exit 82 (OLD Exit 10) and through Harwich Center.
That route is more confusing for the first-time visitor but is a bit shorter! So here's the better way:

Go under Route 137 and then exit...Pix taken before Cape Cod Rt 6 exits were renumbered in 2020.

At end of ramp, take a LEFT on Route 137...

Turning left is south on 137...They have added traffic lights here since pix was taken.

At the first set of lights (Route 39), go straight...

Route 39 goes from Orleans to Harwich Center... This intersection is in East Harwich...

At second set of lights, continue on Route 137...

You could also turn left into Stop & Shop here... It's the closest major food store to cottages...

When you get to blinking light at Queen Anne Road, stay in right lane...

This is where many folks make a mistake...Route 137 goes in a right "dogleg" at this point...

Continue across Queen Anne Rd staying on Rt 137...

Route 137 goes down the hill behind the Corner Store...

At Route 28, turn RIGHT ("North 28") to South Chatham center...

The building in picture is the Chatham Chamber of Commerce information booth...
And yes, Route 28 on Cape Cod is weird!  In this case,  "North 28"  goes  West...
Which gets you to South Chatham, located west of West Chatham, another oddity!

Turn LEFT onto Pleasant St after going approx 1/2 mile...

The sign in photo (Harding House Motel) looks slightly different now...(they painted it plain white)
But if you miss the turn, at bottom of hill, you'll be exiting Chatham into Harwich!

At the quirky bend, (Deep Hole Rd), continue to the left...

At the top of next rise, you'll turn LEFT into #259 Pleasant St:   Pleasant Forest Shores!!!

FYI: How to get to Hyannis via back roads!

For those who want to get to Hyannis (like us locals do!) and avoid Rt. 28, here's a link to a Google Maps showing the way:
